Lake level is- 5.17 and surface temps are in the low 50s, Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'm really looking forward to the 2023 new fishing year.! January is typically a transition month before the February pre spawn approaches. Numbers are normally pretty low but quality will be good. This month the fish will be in transition and grouped up fish can be hard to locate sometimes but Fork can be rewarding if you find them set up right. You could also catch a giant at this time. Posting this to let everyone know I'm also now accepting dates for February pre spawn and March and April spawn. Not many anglers on the water right now but it will change drastically as Feb. approaches. With the future forecast showing a milder Winter ahead the pre spawn and spawn could be earlier this year.
